So I was looking at recently uploaded images on deviant art and this guy posts this picture of his 19 year old daughter running out of the pool naked.
I don’t know, there is just something weird to me about a dad posting a naked picture of his daughter on the internet as a birthday joke. Then everyone in the comments being cool with it like it’s no big deal. Maybe it’s because stuff like this didn’t happen in my family, I don’t know. I’m pretty liberal and yeah I guess thinking about it there are nudest colonies in this world and nudity isn’t something to be ashamed of at all in my opinion. So I guess I can’t say it’s bad, or wrong, just strange to me. I guess my next question would be, who stripped her clothes off? Weird pervy uncle Al?
What do you think?
Uhm… wow…
I’m really hoping that’s some kind of joke.
If it’s not… that is one weird father-daughter relationship…
thats really kind of wierd
esp. about the “jiggly wiggly bits”
if my dad did that to me id be so embarrassed. probably wouldnt talk to him for ages. poor kiera!
The link doesn’t work anymore.
I guess it would depend on the family, but if my father did something like that to me, I would be beyond mortified. I would also probably call the cops. Putting naked pictures online is not the father’s decision to make.
Thats just too strange for me.
I freak out walking into the restroom while my brothers or dad is peeing and all I see is their back.
Xo
I think the captions below the picture disturb me even more so than the actual concept of the father taking a picture of his naked daughter as a birthday joke. >___>
This is not only strange 4 me, but also unacceptable.
That crosses some lines that should not be crossed, methinks.
There was a really famous photographer who took nude pictures of her entire family. They were shocking at first, but once you got over the nudity and context they were actually quite beautiful. I mean, the family has to REALLY trust each other for something like that to occur… nudity seems to represent our vulnerability, which I think is why we have such gut reactions to it.
I’m not saying this is what this guy was going for (I didn’t click the link since I’m at work). I think in this case, I’d be more hesitant about the reason he shot the picture, not the actual picture itself.
Hello. I hope you don’t mind my stalking your footprints. I tend to be curious – which is what led me to click on the link, but it didn’t work for me. :
@ithiliya – I agree with you there. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against nudity. I find it very natural and personally don’t understand why people get so up in arms about it. This is just different for me because it’s her dad.
@ForTheDreamless – Not at all. Feel free to look around and read. I found your blog on the maps entry because you’re from Michigan like myself and was curious about other Michigan Xanga users.
@roxics – Aha, I didn’t realize you were from Michigan :) Well I’m interested in what you’ve written so I’ll be sure to come back and look around more thoroughly. The picture above seems perfectly innocent, but as you said, it’s a bit strange that her father took the picture. And especially strange to me that he posted it on the internet for the whole world to see. If he got her permission though, then I guess all the strangeness is perfectly innocent.
It’s nice to meet you. Stay warm today.
Yah…I just have this gut feeling that family members shouldn’t see opposite-sex family members naked, particularly father/daughter.
