I got into my dad’s porno collection, and yet I still did not even masturbate until I was 22 and I still haven’t had intercourse, except for the occasional happy ender (thanks religion!).  Unfortunately, our society is so sexually repressed that we feel the need to hide the fact that our children, at least as young as puberty, are sexually active.  Every time we say it’s taboo (again, thanks religion!), I think about how we are going against millions of years of biology and evolution.  The phrase, “if a girl can bleed, she can breed” takes on a deeper meaning than the supposed perversion of it, because it is a statement of biological fact.  One day, I hope we begin to realize that we are just another species of animal.

  4. i think i give off some sex vibe or some shit.  when i was in 8th grade this amazingly pretty 10th grader wanted my virginity.  then in 9th grade another 10th grader was relentless.  so i gave it up at 15 and never looked back.  couldn’t imagine a life without sex.

  13. @stonysan – This is very true. Culture defines taboo more then nature. Today there is so much debate about so much of this. From religious people who say to wait till marriage before sex to cops arresting people for prostitution. 

    I think the reason we put things into place is less about nature and more about culture. It used to be in ancient cultures people would get married and start having kids in their early-mid teens. Today we look at this as a taboo. But I think the only reason we do is because our culture has gotten so complex that people this age can’t survive without first finishing high school and in many cases college. So that they can go off and get a good job, afford a home and food and all the countless other things our society makes people pay for. Back in the ancient times all you needed as a hut and a spear or perhaps learning a trade which started when you were a child.
