I think it would be an awesome idea to have factories in space. You know, move the pollution out of our bubble. Robots could work there. Self automated robots and robots controlled remotely by people back on earth.
They could be solar powered and the only issue would be getting the raw materials up there and the finished goods down here.

These private spaceship companies are going to ramp up in the next 50 years. As a result I think we’ll see competition in cheaper flights due to other companies desires to get their materials to their factories in space and back again.

Humans don’t really belong is raw space. It’s not an environment we’re built for. So if we can do most of our product work in space via robots and make earth a green garden again, that would be pretty sweet.
